Abstract
A novel ultra wide micro strip balun based on the conventional balun (the micro strip-double parallel line) is proposed in this paper. The new design has been simulated and validated by measurement. Measured results of about -4.5dB insert loss and 180o phase gap have been achieved across the bandwidth from 3GHz to 50 GHz, the size is about 10mm *7mm.
