Abstract

Abstract Karl Popper (1902–94) was one of the most influential philosophers of science in the twentieth century. This entry discusses his philosophy of science, with particular attention to the role of falsifiability in science, and its relation to his broader epistemology and his philosophy of mind. The influence of Popper's early work in child psychology on his philosophical work is also addressed.
