Abstract

Abstract This entry examines the basic Mendelian model of inheritance. The model is based upon the familiar inheritance ratios of 1:1 and 3:1, which are known as ‘Mendelian segregation ratios’. The entry then discusses classical segregation analysis and then complex segregation analysis.
