The aim of this study was to investigate of the effects of 8 weeks regular walking exercise program on health related fitness parameters and blood lipids of women aged between 40-55 years. In this study, total 40 women were recruited as exercise group (N=20) and control group (N=20). Participants joined an 8-week series of one hour walking exercise three times per week. Each exercise session lasted for about 60 minutes. Anthropometric measurements tests, back and leg strength, flexibility, heart rate, skinfold measurements and Max.VO2 test were measured to assess physical Fitness values and blood samples were collected to analyze LDL, HDL, TC, and Triglyceride level. Differences between groups were evaluated with independent t-tests and pre-test and post test differences was compared with paired t-tests (p<0.05). As a conclusion, it was determined that an 8 weeks aerobic exercise affect positively the body composition, blood values, anthropometric properties, flexibility, blood pressure and body fat percentage values of middle aged women. Regular walking exercise can decrease some illness and health problems which may occur in the future.
