I n t h i s paper we have considered the problem of the structure of 3 strong collision f r e e wave i n a plasma perpendicular t o i t s magnetic f i e l d .It is shown t h a t conditions on t h e two sides of the wave are t h e same and are separated by a s o l i t a r y pulse provided the kinezic energy of the motion at one end of the wave (x = -a1 say) i s l e s s than t h e sum of magnetic and thermal energy of the plasma.than the sum of magnetic m d t h e r m a l energy, no wave exists and t h e constant solution at x = -03 i s t h e only solution of t h e equations describing t h e wave form.If the k i n e t i c energy is more
