Abstract

Amongst the five pesticides evaluated at five different concentrations against seven antagonists viz., T. viride-1, T. viride-2, T. harzianum-1, T. harzianum-2, T. harzianum-3, Glioclodium virens and T-35 (T. harzianum), all the pesticides significantly inhibited the radial growth of T. viride-1 and T. viride-2. Bavistin (carbendazim) checked the growth completely at higher concentrations (0.1 to 0.02%) but is allowed to grow at the lowest concentration (0.01%). The next effective pesticide in respect of inhibiting the growth of T. viride-1 and T. viride-2 was captan followed by vitavax. Monocrotophos was least effective pesticide introducing the growth of T. viride-1 and T. viride-2 at all the concentrations. Bavistin checked the growth completely at all the concentrations and thiram allowed least radial growth of T. harzianum-1, T. harzianum-2, T. harzianum-3, G. virens and T-35 (T. harzianum) at all the concentrations.
