Abstract
This manual has been compiled by entomologists of the Storage Department of the Tropical Development and Research Institute (TDRI). It originated as a material support for the storage pest component of training courses held at TDRI. The manual brings together, for the first time, identification keys and information on basic biology and recognition for all the major storage insects and mites and for many others of lesser importance. It is intended that, in addition to its role as a training aid, this manual should be used as a reference book by researchers and those concerned with the management of pests in tropical stored products.
