Abstract
This chapter focuses on the interplay between narcissism and celebrity. It is organized around five sections: (1) narcissism as a predictor of motivation for fame, (2) the utility of narcissism for becoming a successful entertainer, (3) celebrity as a causal route to narcissism, (4) how being narcissistic can be detrimental to the career of a celebrity, and (5) the influence of narcissistic celebrities influence in the wider culture.
