Abstract
This report highlights results obtained with the HERMES experiment during the last 5 years on the spin structure of the nucleon. The inclusive spin-structure function g1(x,Q2) is described, followed by measurements of the flavor-separated quark polarizations based on semi-inclusive data. Next, first measurements are presented that indicate that both the gluon polarization and the transversity distribution h1(x) are non-zero. Finally, the subject of parton-parton correlations is introduced, along with new data related to higher twist effects and generalized parton distributions.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
A contribution statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
Method details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Findings are not separately available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Limitations are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Application details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
