Abstract

This chapter focuses on codling moth, Cydia pomonella , attacking apples ( Malus domestica ) and pears ( Pyrus communis ) in Canada, and provides an overview of the biological control agents, entomopathogens (Granulovirus), parasitoids ( Trichogramma spp.) and predators (including Pterostichus melanarius, Harpalus affinis, Anisodactylus sanctaecrucis, Amara spp. and Stenolophus comma ), that have been used to date for its management. Future research prospects are recommended.
