Abstract
The paper solves the problem of moments' displacement at generating of random variables described with the help of the heavy tails distribution. The solution of this problem verifies the results of simulation modeling of message queues in data networks with fractal traffic. The methods of solving the problem of moments' displacement are also proposed. We developed the effective method for generating of random variables with the heavy tails distributions. The accuracy of the proposed method is evaluated.
