Abstract
Crowdsourcing may be understood as a generic way to use a crowd for an outsourcing operation. This chapter examines in detail the various forms crowdsourcing may take, by presenting and discussing ten types of crowdsourcing operation. The chapter provides answer for the three questions they are which tasks cannot be outsourced to crowdsourcing? Which tasks can only be outsourced to crowdsourcing? Which tasks cannot be outsourced at all? It explains ten types of crowdsourcing which shows an emphatic answer to this question. Types of crowdsourcing are crowdjobbing, crowdwisdom, crowdfunding, crowdsourcing and forecasting, crowdsourcing and innovation, crowdsourcing and authenticity (C&A), crowdauditing, crowdcontrol, crowdcuration, and crowdcare.
