Abstract
This workshop C3 focuses on determining a delivery approach for the evolutionary development of service culture for business improvement, using technology and tools appropriate for small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). This took into account the total business considerations of an SME ensuring protection to cash flow. The world of the SME is changing with the advent of new technologies and more importantly the new ways of conducting business demanded by globalization. Customer confidence has to be addressed by increased performance information in real-time to avoid/mitigate disruptions to the supply chains. Supply chains need to adopt peer-to-peer organizational relationships to ensure overall efficiencies and minimum costs. Sharing of information is critical without information overload. Controlled Vocabulary Terms business communication; globalisation; small-to-medium enterprises
