Abstract
In a micro plot trial, Pasteuria penetrans was applied as root powder diluted in water and spore infested soil in two different doses i.e. 2xl07 and 2xl08 spores per plot of 1m2 in Vigna radiata roots infected with Meloidogyne incognita with an initial population of 295 J2/250 ml of soil. Significantly higher yield and maximum reduction in nematode population compared to control and other treatments was recorded in the treatment where P. penetrans was applied as infested soil @ 2xl08 spores/plot of 1m2. The plant growth characters were more or less comparable in all the treatments except control.
