Abstract

[1] In the paper “Clean and polluted clouds: Relationships among pollution, ice cloud and precipitation in South America,” by J. H. Jiang et al. (Geophys. Res. Lett., 35, L14804, doi:10.1029/2008GL034631, 2008), a typo occurred in the description of MODIS data. The Aqua MODIS daily aggregation of ice cloud effective radius re is obtained from the Collection 005 Level-3 MYD08-D3 product, not the “MOD08-D3” product as incorrectly written in the paper.
