Abstract

Continuous new knowledge’s production and uptake, effective knowledge management in an organization contributes not only to the most rational economic decision, but also it contribute to the reality of transformation to sustainable development. The purpose of the article - to identify critical competitive advantage factors for organizations support and to reveal the knowledge management activities and sustainable competitive advantage in the relationship between them. An analysis of knowledge management activities identifies factors of critical competitive advantage for the organization. These factors influence the organization's sustainability. The model of sustainable competitive advantage consists of two main interrelated building blocks of knowledge management. Organizations seek to sustainable competitive advantage, therefore it is appropriate to understand and to analize the knowledge management not as individual knowledge management in all aspects, but as a coherent organization's knowledge management system, knowledge management infrastructure, technological infrastructure, culture of knowledge sharing, competencies, continuous learning and innovation management.
