Abstract

This paper demonstrates the high linear even harmonic mixer driven by the pulsed LO. The mixer is proposed for achieving high power and low distortion performances. For the objectives, positive and negative pulses pump an antiparallel diode pair (APDP) as the LO voltage. The pulse duty ratio (PDR) of each pulse is 25% for the LO period. The 40MHz band even harmonic mixer driven by the pulsed LO is implemented to confirm effectiveness of the proposed mixer. As in the theory, the implemented even harmonic mixer driven by the pulsed LO has the high linear performance than that of the conventional one.
