Abstract

Bullous pemphigoid (BP) and pemphigus foliaceus (PF) are distinct autoimmune blistering diseases characterized by autoantibodies directed against targets within the basement membrane zone (BMZ) and intercellular space of the epidermis (ICS), respectively. The diseases rarely occur together in a same patient.
