Abstract
Regulations under the Clean Air Act Amendments (CAAA) of 1990 will continue to have a major effect on pollution control for the next decade. New standards and compliance regulations are scheduled to be promulgated nearly every year through 2005. The control technologies that meet regulatory demands can be summarized into three major categories: process modifications, recovery and oxidation. All these control technologies offer a specific solution for controlling or reducing VOC and HAP emissions. The best solution may a hybrid of all three. The flexibility and efficiency of the processses are described.
