Abstract
Jinongda 23,a new rice variety,was bred through crosses between tong 88-7(♀)×songjing 3(♂) using pedigree technique.The mean yield of jinongda 23 was 8 406.0 kg/hm2 in the 2-year regional yield test.Its yield increased by 5.1% compared with the contrast variety.The mean yield of jinongda 23 was 7 783.5 kg/hm2 in the 1-year productive trial.Its yield increased by 5.1% and 8.9% compared with the contrast variety.Jinongda 23 was proved and released to the farmers by Jilin Evaluation Committee of Crop Variety in January 2008.The main characteristics of this variety are high yield,resistance to disease and good quality.It can be planted in middle-early mature region of Jilin province,especially,in Changchun,Jilin,Tonghua and Songyuan areas.
