Abstract

The author describes the experiences gained by GEC Plessey Telecommunications (GPT) in their involvement with British Telecommunications International (BTI) and COMSAT in the demonstration of integrated services digital network via satellite, using GPT's System X digital telephone exchange. The equipment used is outlined, and several demonstrations discussed. >
