Abstract

Many people use the terms “heartburn” and “indigestion” interchangeably. These digestive problems are often confused, and although they both have similar triggers and symptoms, and the treatment may be the same in many instances, indigestion is not heartburn. It is important to distinguish between the two in order to manage them appropriately.
