Abstract
Abstract The objective of this article is to present the problem of seawater intrusion into a coastal aquifer and the conceptual and complete mathematical models that describe it. Three seawater intrusion models are presented: two‐ and three‐dimensional sharp interface models and a three‐dimensional transition zone model.
