The article highlights the First Amendment Freedoms of Speech and Religion involving significant cases of the October 2009 term of the Supreme Court in the U.S. It focuses on the court system decisions in dealing with campaign financing issues, support to foreign terrorist groups, public property religious symbols, and disputes on equality and freedom of association. It discusses the cases such as Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission and Buckley v. Valeo.
