Abstract
The Communication Subsystems of INSAT-1B, the multipurpose satellite of India, have been extensively tested for its performance after being placed on its geosynchronous orbit. Short descriptions of the Communication Subsystems and the Earth Station of INSAT-1 Master Control Facility (MCF) used for the purpose of on-orbit tests are also included along with the detailed on-orbit test methodology and test results. Performances of the INSAT-1B Communication Subsystems have been found to be satisfactory and no significant deviations in performances have been noticed after the launch of the satellite.
