Abstract
We present calculations and experiments on a study of the effect of suppression of the contribution of accompanying reactions in carbon nuclei in work with a polytheylene target in study of the pion photoproduction reactions ..gamma..p..-->..p..pi../sup 0/ and ..gamma..p..-->..n..pi../sup +/ with use of a beam of coherent bremsstrahlung. It is shown that in the photon-energy region near the first resonance in the photoproduction reaction cross sections this effect can be utilized to perform experiments on a polarized proton target with measurement of one of the product-particles of the reaction.
