Abstract

Jatropha curcas L.explant was induced into callus by different combinations of phytohormone,in order to provide a foundation for rapid propagation in vitro culture, transgenosis and the bioengineering breeding of Jatropha curcas L.The results showed that the optimal medium for callus induction was MS+2,4-D 2.0 mg/L and MS+6-BA 2.0 mg/L+NAA 2.0 mg/L,and the most suitable combination for bud induction was MS+6-BA 2.5 mg/L+IBA 0.1 mg/L,and root formation did not need any phytohormone. The conclusion is that callus and plant regeneration of Jatropha curcas L.cotyledons can be induced efficiently by appropriate phytohormone combination.
