[Bladder neck cysts in women].

Abstract

OBJECTIVE: A case of a cyst located in the bladder neck in a female patient is described. The rarity of this condition prompted us to report the present case. METHODS: The patient presented with urinary infection and posteriorly developed difficulty in voiding. RESULTS: The US, urographic and cystoscopic studies disclosed a cyst located in the bladder neck, which was confirmed by the surgical and histopathological findings. CONCLUSION: This uncommon condition involving the bladder neck or trigone should be considered when making the differential diagnosis in patients with dysuria.
