Abstract

The author discusses Quine's famous paper on the two dogmas of empiricism. He compares the Kantian and Quinean concepts of analyticity and shows why he doubts their supposed identity. He also states that each dogma presupposes the other, and asks himself if they hadn't been the very essence of what traditionally has been known as empiricism; so that it wouldn't have too much sense to speak -as Quine does- of an empiricism without dogmas.
