Abstract

The article presents the results of the analysis of price characteristics of antiallergic antihistamines recommended for the treatment of allergic diseases. The average retail prices and availability factors of antihistamines for Petrozavodsk citizens were calculated taking into account the defined daily dose of the antihistamine. The highest possible price of one day treatment was calculated for first-generation antihistamine Histafen, the lowest – for Russian-made second-generation antihistamine Cetirizine. Antihistamine drugs with a high level of evidence and high affordability were identified according to the federal clinical guidelines for diagnosis and treatment of allergic rhinitis and atopic dermatitis. It was found out that second-generation antihistamines (Cetirizine and Loratadine) are the most available.
