Abstract

The major problem of this study is to elucidate Jane’s sacrifice for love reflected in Jane Eyre Novel by Charlotte Bronte. The objectives of the study are; to analyze the structural elements of the novel and to analyze individual aspect of the novel based on individual psychological approach. In conducting this study, the researcher uses qualitative research in which the data are based on primary data of the novel Charlotte Bronte Jane Eyre itself. While secondary data are Charlotte Bronte biography, and other data which deal with the research. In analyzing the data, she applies two approaches. Firstly structural approach is used to analyze the elements of the novel. It consists of characterization, setting, plot, point of view, theme and style. Secondly an individual psychological approach is used for analyzing the relationship between major principles of individual psychology and real type of Jane Eyre’s personality. These approaches are applied in order to get the appropriate analysis and answer the problem. The writer finds that loving someone is always full of sacrifice
