Abstract
A TI59 handheld calculator program has been written to simplify the calculations to determine the optimal amount of boiler blowdown. Knowing this can reduce waste heat and cost. Boiler blowdown control is necessary to maintain a desirable boiler operation. Suspended and dissolved solid contents of boiler water, which builds up as steam is drawn off the boiler, should be lowered. Foaming, priming, and scaling may be expected when the salts present in the boiler water exceed certain limits.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
A contribution statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
Method details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Findings are not separately available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Limitations are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Application details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
