Abstract

diakinesis.This interpretation of crossing over seems to be in accord with all of the genetic requirements.The genetic phenomena of interference, gene duplication and deficiency, variations in crossing over, and crossing over in triploids, have been discussed in their relation to the cytological mechanism of crossing over.
