Abstract
Toxicologic assessment of the male reproductive system has gained increasing importance over the past two decades because of potential effects on human fertility. This chapter outlines best practice for histopathological assessment of the male reproductive tract and describes common induced lesions seen in male reproductive organs in safety assessment studies, with examples of causative agents and brief outlines of their mechanisms.
