Abstract

This article focuses on the Commercial Vehicle Information Systems and Networks (CVISN) program. The program has as its goal the nationwide interoperability and efficiency for motor carrier regulation. CVISN has six phases: plan, prototype, pilot, expansion, full deployment and Commercial Vehicle Operations (CVOL) mainstreaming. Over thirty states are involved in the CVISN program.
