Abstract

This was a keynote presentation at 'Digital Encounters Symposium: Transformative Practice'. The landscape of the fashion textiles industry has been radically transformed in the last decade. The Digital Encounters Symposium explores the transformative effect of digital design and production techniques on a range of textiles practices. The relationship between hand crafted and digital textile techniques is discussed by a range of textile practitioners.
