EXTRACTION OF NITRIC ACID BY DERIVATIVES OF BUTYLPHOSPHINIC ACIDS

Abstract

Data are presented on the extraction properties of butylphosphoric compounds of tributylphosphate (C/sub 4/H/sub 9/O)/sub 3/ PO, dibutyl ether butylphosphine acid (C/sub 4/H/sub 9/O)/sub 2/ C/sub 4/H/sub 9/ PO, butyl ether dibutylphosphine aci d (C/sub 4/H/sub 9/O) (C/sub 4/H/sub 9/)/sub 2/ PO, and tributylphosphinoxide (C/sub 4/H/sub 9/)/sub 3/ PO. The nitric acid distribution relation to the concentration of the extractive reagent and the uranyl nitrate in the solution was investigated. (R.V.J.)
