Abstract
The ‘relevant geographic market’ forms part and parcel of the ‘relevant market’ which in turn defines the areas of competition between companies, and ultimately influences the outcome of EU competition cases. Thus far the European Commission has deployed a Notice and a 'discussion paper' with guidance on establishing the various relevant markets. While this paper examines these, emphasis is also given to the relevant case law of the CJEU.
