Research achievements on dedicated energy crops for biogas in the EU countries.

Biogas industry has been developed fast during the recent ten years in EU countries.Scaled production of biogas requires so much feedstuff that those traditional materials including ac-tive sludge from sewage treatment,landfill and livestock excretion are in far inadequate.Research-es and application of dedicated energy crops for biogas is thus put into agenda.The research achievements on the areas of breeding,sieving,technologies of fermentation,bioenergy potentials,CO 2 reduction effects and involvement into rotation system of biogas crop in German,Austria,Den-mark was introduced.
