Abstract
By controlling the flow from more than 50 natural gas wells to two processing plants with a sophisticated four-computer distributed network. Producers report substantial savings, increased production, and improved efficiency. The system manages, monitors, and controls the flow rates from wells in the Kaybob field, 350 miles from the Calgary head office. A second field system, at the Zama gasfield over 850 miles from Calgary, has recently been incorporated into the computer network.
