Preamplifier-discriminator for photomultipliers

Abstract

A simple preamplifier-discriminator implemented by a 564LE5 integrated circuit and designed for processing (along with a scintillation detector) low-energy x rays is described. The use of a 564LE5 integrated circuit in the preamplifier-discriminator allows a common power supply with digital logic chips to be used.
