Teaching & Learning Online

This book, developed from an expert seminar convened by the International Centre for Learner Managed Learning (ICLML), looks at the developing understanding of approaches to online teaching and the emergence of pedagogies that will ensure the effectiveness of online teaching and learning. The seventeen chapters of the book are divided into six parts: part one focuses on pedagogics; part two reviews current research on online learning; part three discusses the experiences of practitioners; part four looks at some of the challenges of online learning; part five covers the role of the commercial producers of online materials; and part six discusses the future of online learning.
