Abstract
The effect of a deviation of the equipotenials from the magnetic surfaces on transport processes in a tokamak is studied theoretically. The radial and poloidal electric fields are found in a self-consistent way. The particle and heat fluxes are calculated with the help of these fields. In several cases, the poloidal electric field can have a very strong effect on the magnitudes of the fluxes.
