Abstract

Sciaenids, popularly known is jew \nfish, croakers or drums are one of the \ncommercially important groups of \nmarine fishes of India. They rank very \nhigh in abundance forming on an \naverage, 7,04 % of the tora-f{.p1arine fish \ncatch of the country (1974-76).
