Abstract

Paraffin method and histochemistry localization method were used to study anatomical structure and alkaloids distribution observation of vegetative organs of Zanthoxylum dissitum Hemsl.The results showed that besides the basic character of dicotyledon in its vegetative organs,the primary xylem of the root was triarch and tetrarch;some epidermal hairs and glands were observed on the surface of the young stem,in the cortex,some secretory cavities were observed closely to the epidermis;the cells of the upper epidermis were obviously bigger than the lower epidermis in leaf.Specific chromogenic reagent was applied in the alkaloids histochemistry localization of the vegetative organs.The results also showed that alkaloids were mainly distributed in periderm,wood ray cells and pith cells in the stem,and more alkaloids were distributed in periderm,wood ray cells and secondary phloem cells in the root.The content of an effective alkaloid was detected in the root,stem and leaf by HPLC.The result was that it was largely existed in the root more than in the stem and no alkaloid was detected in the leaf.
