Abstract
It is shown how an inductive construction of the renormalized perturbation series of quantum field theory automatically yields, at each order, finite terms satisfying the requirements of locality. This method whose result is equivalent to the Bogoliubov-Parasiuk-Hepp prescriptions, also establishes the usual classification between renormalizable and non-renormalizable theories. (28 refs).
