Abstract
SQL Server 7 and Microsoft Access are very different systems, so in order to make your migration go as smoothly as possible, you should have a solid understanding of the basic functions you can use to manage SQL Server. Although Access 2000 allows you to manage portions of a SQL Server database through an ADP, and Access 97 allows you to manage some SQL Server database objects through the SQL Server Browser, neither version of Access gives you access to all of the capabilities of SQL Server. You should understand the tools available to you and how they can help you to manage your SQL Server databases.
